MEET THE DIRECTOR:

EDDIE ALBA

A first generation Dominican who was raised in New York City surrounded by a rich culture of music, dance and instruments. In 2008, he began taking classes at world renowned Yamulee Dance Company in Bronx, New York. He immediately fell in love with their raw style, musicality, level of dance and innovative routines. The following year he was asked to join the semi-professional team, Bajari de Yamulee, and three years later he would become a member of the pro team. During this time he gained expertise teaching and performing all over the World. After 5 years with Yamulee, Eddie’s passion for dance led him to become a member of Balmir Latin Dance Company based in Brooklyn where he expanded his repertoire to include Bachata, Kizomba and Hustle. In 2017, Eddie realized his dream of opening his own dance studio, Albasario Dance Company, in Philadelphia, PA where he continues to share his passion for Mambo locally, nationally and internationally through world-class as an instructor, performer, choreographer and DJ.
